National Defense Ministry Spokesperson, Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, stated that this narrative seeks to undermine regional peace and stability and reiterate its stance against such destabilizing tactics.

   “We know that the United States poses the greatest nuclear threat in the world. With the world’s largest nuclear arsenal and a policy that allows for using nuclear weapons, Washington has invested in the miniaturization and operationalization of its nuclear weapons,” Zhang noted.

   The spokesperson recalled that the United States uses its nuclear weapons as an instrument of coercion and to bind its allies, which demonstrates its intentions of nuclear domination globally.

   Colonel Zhang also criticized Japan for aligning itself with US nuclear strategies instead of learning from its tragic history.

   According to China, this attitude only increases regional tensions and raises the risk of nuclear proliferation and conflict.
