UN Secretary General criticizes developed countries for climate crisis

Your people pounded by record hurricanes. Your economies torn apart. And development gains left in tatters. This is an injustice perpetrated by the few.

COP29 Truce receives support from the Non-Aligned Movement

Baku (Azertac): All member states of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) supported the COP29 Truce announced on 21 September, the date marked as the International Day of Peace, under the Azerbaijan`s Presidency of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Foreign Ministry reported.

Baku Initiative Group sends denounces the French occupation of Mayotte Island

Baku (Azertac) Based on the outcomes of the international conference on the “Illegal French Occupation of Mayotte Island of the Union of Comoros,” held in Baku, the Baku Initiative Group sent an official letter to the United Nations Secretary General, the Chair of the Non-Aligned Movement, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the President of the European Commission, the Arab League Secretary-General and the African Union Commission Chairperson.

Pre-COP29 media workshop on effective communication strategies held in Baku     

Baku (Azertac): In anticipation of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, scheduled to take place in Baku this November, the COP29 Presidency, in collaboration with the UN Office in Azerbaijan, organized a workshop focused on effective media communication strategies.
