The Movement stressed in a press statement that the Israeli terrorist evacuation orders of hospitals under the pressure of bombardment, aggression and direct targeting is similar to a death sentence against thousands of patients and the wounded, including women, elderly, and children.
Hamas affirmed that this decision requires the United Nations and all international institutions to take immediate action to stop this crime and take decisive measures to protect medical centers and hospitals, including the patients and the displaced, and to work on providing them with all the fuel, equipment, and medical supplies they need.
The Movement said, “The aggression launched by the Israeli occupation army against our people in the northern Gaza Strip, especially in Jabalia and its refugee camp, and the ongoing bombing of citizens’ homes, shelters, displacement centers and hospitals; will not succeed in breaking the will of the patient and the steadfast people and their valiant resistance, which has stood firm in the face of the Israeli successive waves of terrorist attacks.”
The Israeli occupation army instructed the hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip to evacuate the patients, displaced, and the medical staff, while laying siege to Kamal Adwan Hospital.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli occupation army was besieging Kamal Adwan Hospital in the North Gaza Governorate, and opened fire on the hospital’s administration office.
The Ministry indicated that the hospital would stop operating within hours due to running out of fuel, confirming that the occupation army demanded the evacuation of Kamal Adwan, the Indonesian and Al-Awda hospitals, otherwise they will face the same fate as of Al-Shifa Hospital, of destruction, killing and arrest.
It noted that the army arrested a paramedic who accompanied one of the intensive care cases during its transfer from Kamal Adwan Hospital despite following coordination procedures.
The Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, said, “We were officially informed to evacuate the hospital within 24 hours of all the patients and the wounded, and all medical staff by tomorrow.”
“The army threatened me personally that if the hospital is not evacuated by tomorrow, we will expose ourselves to danger,” Abu Safiya added.
