This event coincided with the World Press Freedom Day on May 3.

   The stand also expressed solidarity with Moroccan journalists advocating for the Sahrawi cause, as well as Palestinian journalists facing Israeli destruction, and the Cuban people in the face of the international blockade imposed on them.

   The participants in the stand called for the necessity of opening up the occupied Sahrawi territories to the press and international observers, and intensifying international solidarity with the Sahrawi cause in order to enable the Sahrawi people to determine their own future.

   The participants emphasized the need to work towards the release of Sahrawi political prisoners, putting an end to the suffering of their families, and ending the media blockade on the occupied territories.
