White House removes Spanish language from website one day into new presidency

Washington (Newsbreak): The White House official website has received a revamp now that President Donald Trump has been sworn into office.

As soon as the 47th president was inaugurated, the website featured a message saying «America is back.» Now, it has another change, as the Spanish portion of the website has been removed. The same thing happened in 2017 when he took over the Oval Office. It was reinstated under former President Joe Biden, however.

This comes as Trump has promised the mass deportations of undocumented immigrants in the US. He also signed an executive order Monday, effectively ending birthright citizenship, which is mentioned int he 14th Amendment of the US Constitution.

Several state’s attorney generals, including Matthew Platkin in New Jersey and Rob Bonta in California, have filed lawsuits to stop the order, according to NPR.

The White House website now loads a video showing Trump walking on the White House lawn, then opens to a page that reads, “America is back.”

It continues with a message from Trump: “Every single day I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve.”

“This will truly be the golden age of America.”

The website continued, spelling out his priorities during his presidency. It says the president will be committed to lowering costs for all Americans, securing the country’s borders, unleashing American energy dominance, restoring peace through strength, and making all Americans safe and secure once again.

His inauguration speech had a similar message, criticizing the previous administration and promising a thriving future during his second term.

He said: “The American dream will soon be back and thriving like never before.

“We now have a government that cannot manage even a simple crisis at home, while at the same time stumbling into a continuing catalog of catastrophic events abroad. It fails to protect our magnificent, law-abiding American citizens, but provides sanctuary and protection for dangerous criminals, many from prisons and mental institutions that have illegally entered our country from all over the world.»
