Abu Rudeinah stressed that «the ongoing Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people, which has resulted in over 40,000 fatalities and more than 100,000 injuries in Gaza, along with over 700 fatalities and 11,000 detentions in the West Bank since October 7, as well as the destruction of Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps, will not bring security or stability but will instead lead to more violence and chaos across the region and beyond.»
«As long as Jerusalem remains occupied, with its sacred sites, history, and heritage under threat, the wars witnessed today will persist as they have for the past century,» he affirmed. «The only viable alternative is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.»
Abu Rudeinah held successive United States administrations accountable for the ongoing turmoil and wars, criticizing «their policies that provide political, financial, and military support for the continuation of the occupation.»
He argued that «such actions have emboldened further crimes against the Palestinian people and the people of Syria and Lebanon as well, along with persistent threats to other areas.»
The presidential spokesman emphasized that «the alternative to war and normalization lies in implementing [the resolutions of] Arab and international legitimacy, which are supported by the majority of the world’s nations.»
